We collect your name, email address, and the content you create (flashcard sets, notes, and study plans) to provide our service. We also collect app usage and diagnostic analytics through Google Firebase — including a device identifier and, if you enable notifications, a Firebase Cloud Messaging push token — to operate and improve the app.
Your data is used solely to deliver Verdance's features — generating AI responses, syncing your study progress, and enabling social features like friend leaderboards. We never sell your personal information.
Text you send to the AI chat is processed by third-party AI providers (OpenRouter / Anthropic Claude) to generate responses. Media files (images, PDFs) are sent to Anthropic Claude for analysis. These providers operate under their own privacy policies.
Your data is stored securely on our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your personal data, sets, cards, notes, and media within 30 days.
We use Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing (managed via RevenueCat) to process subscriptions, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Google Firebase for analytics, and AI providers (OpenRouter and Anthropic) for chat features. We share data with these parties only as needed to provide these features, and we never sell your personal information. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Verdance is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
